This is the 6th season together for the Colts. Vince Newman continues as manager, assisted by Margaret Butland. Former Youth team manager, Craig Evans, assists with coaching, after following his son down to the Colts.
The Colts started Sunday league life as North Kingston Colts B side at Under 13s, before moving on to Kew Association FC. In their U14 season, the Colts had been part of the mid-table melee and as U15s had hoped to push on - but instead went the other way, finishing bottom of their league. Former Colts boss, Mike Snow then moved on to look after our new Under 14 team and was succeeded by Steve Wright, assisted by Vince. Unfortunately, as U16s, the Colts endured an even worse time, losing every league match, although the performance picked up towards the end of the season.
For 2009-10, the Surrey Youth League had no U17 and just one premier elite U18, so it was time to seek pastures new. And a successful season it turned out to be for the Colts in the Surrey Primary League. Despite early league losses, they continued to improve, ending the season in third place, making the semi-final of the league cup and also enjoying a good run in the Surrey County Cup.
