Kingstonian stunned
Our U18s move to second in the Surrey Youth League Premier Elite after a 1-0 away win over title favourites, Kingstonian. Appropriately enough, it was a former K’s player, Mark Whiskey who secured the victory, heading in a corner to beat the Surrey Cup finalists. See Andy’s match report.

Elsewhere, it was close games all round. U12 Youth returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory at neighbours Kew Park Rangers. The same scoreline for our U16s at KPR, but with the points this time going their way. U15s went down 3-2 at Esher FC in a close fought match, while U13s drew 2-2 with AC Fulham.  And for U17 Casuals, it was pride restored, as they lead against their leagues’ top side, before eventually going down 1-3.

U17 Colts impressive cup run has ended, losing their semi-final 2-0 to their premier division opponents.  This week they’re hosting the leading side in their division, Shottermill & Haslemere. It’s the turn of our U16s to be in semi-final cup action. They’re against top of the table Hampton Manor, but have enjoyed close matches, losing their two league games against this side by only a single goal.  See Teams page for details of all games taking place this Sunday.

Training for most teams has returned to our grounds in Riverside Drive. But with access restricted from the new pitches while they bed in, some teams have been training elsewhere.  From mid-October, some teams will go on to the all-weather surface at Tiffin Girls school in Richmond Road, others to the sports hall at Grey Court and the German school, although a couple will continue to train under floodlights at our ground. Please check team pages for details.

Most teams do not have trials, preferring to look at players over several coaching sessions before deciding whether to invite them to the team. If you wish to play or help with a team, check out the email address on the contacts page and we’ll get back to you.
